Balearic behemoths Moonboots and Jason Boardman celebrate 21 years of playing the finest audio sunshine in the known universe. Aficionado kicked off during Euro 98 as a tapas meets tunes experience at the long gone Aqua bar behind The Hacienda (also long gone). The pairs night quickly developed into a nomadic Sunday institution providing a platform to spinners including Todd Terje, Phil Mison, Mr Scruff, Rune Lindbaek and countless others to showcase their leftfield vinyl selections in various locations across the city.

The night provided an antidote to the proliferation of 4/4 house nights that were enveloping Manchester at that time. Playing anything good from lost 50p b-sides to obscure but likeable tropical electronics, a DJ trip with Moon and Jason can take you glacial ambience to deep percussive jams to intoxicating disco all in the space of a few hours. We look forward to welcoming the pair to Moovin Festival for a set of the finest Balearic music, taking you on a genre-crossing journey spanning classic and modern music.
