Who are you?

Paulette is Manchester royalty. One of the only female residents at the legendary Haçienda and a career that spans nearly three decades and over three countries, Paulette has additionally held residencies at some of the most prestigious clubs and best parties in the world, including The Zap Club (Brighton), The Ministry of Sound, Queen Club and Mix Club (Paris), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Ibiza Rocks at Pacha and at Pikes Hotel (Ibiza).

How it started?

When studying at uni and working as a TV presenter in Manchester, Paulette landed a residency at the Hacienda gay party Flesh, where she learned to DJ “on the job,”. After regularly DJing around other northern cities like Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham in the early ’90s, Paulette was eventually called down to Heaven in London and ultimately ended up with Ministry Of Sound, working both in London, Ibiza and around the world as a resident in their international touring crew. An Essential Mix, a host of residencies at clubs like Cocoon, Pikes and Mix Club, compilation credits for Nervous and Privilege, and decades worth of radio shows flesh out a multifaceted career that’s given her a unique perspective on dance music.

How it’s going?

Now at the top of her game Paulette continues to grace some of the largest nightclubs and festivals going, with her recent performance at ‘NYC DOWNLOW’ at Glastonbury, one for the ages!

From radio to bar to club to festivals, from back room to main room, from warm up to headline, she is a champion of great music – digging deep in the crates for sets of uplifting party hip hop, raw funk and rare grooves, soulful vocals and diamante strewn disco, jacking / deep house and tearing techno. Her dynamic and uplifting shows plus her award-winning PR work for Talkin Loud, Mercury Records and work overseas with Radio FG (France) have earned her gold records, awards and plaudits and much international recognition and respect. As capable of entertaining a club with an 8 hour odyssey or a 10 minute mini mix, Paulette knows instinctively how to read then flip a room. She pays and plays it forward, inspiring a new generation by channelling her energies into youth work, activism, mentoring and radio / dj workshops at conferences, Universities and colleges around the country.
