CHEZ DAMIER

CHEZ DAMIER

Chez Damier is a true pioneer of deep house, a DJ and producer whose influence has shaped the sound and spirit of underground dance music for over three decades. Born in Chicago and later based in Detroit, he was immersed in the early house and techno movements, developing a style rooted in soul, emotion, and musical depth rather than trends.

In the early ’90s, Chez became a central figure in the global deep house scene through his work with Ron Trent. Together they founded the legendary Prescription Records and Balance Recordings, labels that helped define the warm, organic sound of deep house and introduced timeless classics such as Morning Factory and The Foot Therapy EP.

Known for his long, hypnotic DJ sets, Chez Damier blends house, soul, jazz, and African influences into journeys that focus on groove, feeling, and connection on the dancefloor. His reputation has taken him to clubs and festivals around the world, where he remains respected as a DJ’s DJ and a guardian of house music’s original spirit.

Decades into his career, Chez Damier continues to inspire new generations with his dedication to authenticity, musicality, and the deeper side of house music.
