GETTING TO AND FROM THE FESTIVAL SITE

 

IF COMING BY CAR

For the festival car park, please use postcode SK6 5HH and follow the signs.  The cost is £15 for a day, (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) or £25 for the full weekend, (Friday until Monday) and £60 for a campervan.  Please bring cash for the car park.

For drop offs you can either get dropped off in the Festival Car Park, SK6 5HH, or Etherow Country Park Car Park, George St, Compstall, SK6 5JD.

The walk to the festival site is approximately 25 minutes from the Festival Car Park or 20 minutes from Etherow Country Park Car Park, through the stunning beauty of Etherow Park itself, and is clearly signposted from both
locations.  However, if you are carrying camping equipment, feeling a bit lazy, or just want to save your energy for dancing, then just jump on the regular shuttle bus.

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

If you are coming by Public Transport the nearest train stations are Marple, Romiley and Stockport.

From Marple it is approximately a 20 minute walk to the shuttle bus pick up point in the Festival Car Park, SK6 5HH or a 40 minute walk to the site itself or you can get a bus from any of the three stations to Compstall, full details below. From there it is a 5 minute walk to the shuttle bus or a 20 minute walk to the site. We cannot emphasise enough how beautiful the walk is so do recommend it if not carrying lots of luggage!

Once arriving in Compstall, if you are walking, then head to Etherow Country Park Car Park, George St, Compstall, SK6 5JD, from where the festival site will be signposted. If you want to get the shuttle bus head to the Festival Car Park, SK6 5HH.

From Marple Station, SK6 7DA
Bus number 383 = 4 minutes (Approx.) Get off at Compstall Village. From Marple Station it is approximately a 20 minute walk to
the shuttle bus pick up point in the Festival Car Park, SK6 5HH or a 40 minute walk to the site itself.

From Romiley Station, SK6 4BL
Bus number 383 = 6 minutes (Approx.) Get off at Compstall
Village or you can walk to the shuttle bus point in 40minutes.

From Stockport Station
383 & 384 – Stockport – Marple/Romiley circular (passing through Compstall Village)
The 383 Bus departs from Mersey Square (7 minutes from Stockport Station) and the 384 departs from Heaton Lane Bus Station (9 Minute walk from Stockport Station)

Once arriving in Compstall, if you are walking then head to Etherow Country Park Car Park, George St, Compstall, SK6 5JD, from where the festival site will be signposted. If you want to get the shuttle bus head to
the Festival Car Park, SK6 5HH.

 

TAXIS

Lynx is the local Taxi firm (we strongly advise pre-booking) Uber also operate in the area.

Taxis are not permitted through the Park please ask them to drop you off at either the OFF-SITE Car Park (SK6 5HH) or Etherow Country Park Car Park and follow the instructions as above.

 

SHUTTLE BUS TO SITE

The shuttle bus will only run from the Festival Car Park on the way to the site, but will drop off in either car park on the way back, just let the driver know which one you want when you get on.
The pick up point for cars or taxis to come to, to take you home, is Etherow Country Park Car Park, George St, Compstall, SK6 5JD. Only get dropped off in the Festival Car Park on the way back if you are picking up your car.
The shuttle bus is £1 per person each way, please bring cash if you wish to utilise this service. Timings below. (BRING YOUR POUND COINS, IT’S CASH ONLY) You may have to wait for an available bus as there is only one single track road in and out of the Festival site!

Additional information:

There will be security checks as we have a Stop & Search Policy in place.

We operate an R U 25 Policy, therefore please bring ID with you (passport, citizenship card or driving licence) if you are lucky enough to look younger than that.

No Alcohol to be brought on to site, Sorry, it is a strict part of our agreement with the land owner (that operates the bar), that no alcohol will be permitted on to the site even for personal use within the camping area. The farm is a licensed premises and due to a licensing law by Stockport Council and the Law of the Land this is the way it has to be or we are putting their license at risk. Pre ordered cans of wine, beer, cider, prosecco, spirits and mixers, at very reasonable prices, are available to campers, and the beer from the bars is only £5 a pint.

Security Searches will take place at the main gate and if discovered you will not be able to gain entrance with any alcoholic items found including those you may have poured into containers yourself.
